Trump's financial disclosure reports more than $1.4 billion in crypto income
President Trump’s annual financial disclosure, released Tuesday by the Office of Government Ethics , reported more than $1.4 billion in cryptocurrency income for 2025. The filing lists roughly $635 million from sales of the $TRUMP meme coin and over $500 million connected to World Liberty Financial, the crypto venture co-founded by Trump and his sons.
Digital assets now rank among the largest components of Trump’s reported income, exceeding his traditional real estate holdings. Since returning to office in January 2025, he has pursued policies favorable to the industry, including a national strategic cryptocurrency reserve and a White House crypto summit.
The scale of the earnings, combined with the president’s direct influence over crypto policy, has prompted Democratic senators to call for hearings over potential conflicts of interest and the possibility of foreign money flowing into Trump family ventures. Because the tokens and platforms are open to overseas buyers, the disclosure sharpens a question that ethics lawyers have raised since the ventures launched: whether purchases function as a channel to enrich the sitting president.
